The Messenger of Muhammad (peace be upon him)

The Messenger of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his characteristics:

The chain of prophethood began with Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) and it reached its completion by coming to Khatam al-Mursaleen, Hazrat Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Allah Ta'ala had previously given the perfections to the Prophets separately. He included all of them in the person of the Prophet of the last days. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has very prominent features.

Salient features of the Muhammadan Prophethood:

(1) Generality:

The prophets who came before the Holy Prophet used to prophesy for a particular nation or country, but your prophesy is for all mankind until the Day of Resurrection.

 (2)  Repeal of previous laws:

The law of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) abrogated the laws of the Prophets who came before him.Now only the Muhammadan Shariah will be followed.

(3) Perfection:

The religion of Allah was completed on the Holy Prophet. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was given the perfect religion, which is sufficient for all mankind. Therefore, there is no need for any other religion.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an:

Surah Al-Maida verse 3:

Translation:

Today, I have completed your religion for you and completed my blessing on you, and if you like, I have given you the religion of Islam.

(4) Protecting the book:

The books revealed to the earlier prophets have either completely disappeared or have not survived in their original form. Because there has been a large-scale change in them.Due to which the right and wrong teachings in these books have become so muddled that it has become extremely difficult to separate the right from the wrong. The Holy Quran is the book revealed to Prophet Muhammad and the Holy Quran exist exactly as the were revealed. Not even a letter of it has changed. The Holy Quran is not only preserved in writing but also exists in the hearts of millions of people.

 (5) Protecting the Sunnah of the Prophet:

Allah has also made a great arrangement for the protection of the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). In every age, there was a group of Muhadditheen who devoted their lives to protect the Prophet's Sunnah.Since the Sunnah is the interpretation of the Holy Qur'an which is a guidance for mankind until the Day of Judgment, therefore, just as Allah has arranged for the protection of the Holy Qur'an, He has also arranged for the protection of the Prophet's Sunnah.

(6) Comprehensiveness:

Earlier, the Prophets' mission was for a particular nation and era. Therefore, their teachings were related to that nation and era. But since the Holy Prophet (PBUH) came as a Messenger for all humanity and all ages. That's why your teachings are so comprehensive that people till the Day of Resurrection, regardless of which nation they belong to, can get guidance from these teachings.

(7) Seerat Nabvi:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) himself practiced the teachings and implemented them in practical life. If we look at the life of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), it is known whether it is family life or politics,  behavior with children or dealing with elders, time of peace or time of war, rituals of worship or matters of affairs, kinship. Be it relationships or neighborly ties, in every aspect of life, the biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the best example for human beings.
