What is Shahadat?

 Shahadat:

Among the Rakan of religion, the most important word is Shahadat, whose words translation  are:

There is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Allah is One.He is one. He has no partner and I bear witness that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is His servant and His last Messenger.

Belief in believing in Allah as one is fundamental in Islam, without which no human being can be a Muslim. Believing means that a person's belief in something is so firm that there is no room for doubt in it.

The belief in monotheism enriches man with the wealth of contentment . This belief frees man from greed, envy and cowardice and creates firm words in the heart of man that only Allah is the Creator and Sustainer. He gives more to whom He wills and He gives less to whom He wills. Honor and humiliation and government and wealth are in his hands. No one can harm or benefit anyone except Allah. Allah gives whatever he bestows to whom he bestows under an expediency and for the purpose of trial and examination. And then Allah who wants to give something, no one can stop him, and Allah whoever wants to deprive him of something, no one else can give it to him. Along with this, the belief of believing in one Allah makes a person bound by the law of Allah. The belief that Allah Ta'ala is aware of all the small, big, visible and hidden actions of a person, protects him from wrongdoing and other sins and makes him a useful and capable resident citizen of the society.

The first part of the word of shahadat is the declaration and acknowledgment of the belief of monotheism. The second part of the word of shahadat is the declaration that Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) is the servant and (last) messenger of Allah. And the religion presented by Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the true religion. A person cannot be a Muslim without testifying to these two things. Apparently monotheism and prophethood are two things, but actually both are two aspects of the same reality. No one can believe in the Messenger without believing in Allah , and no one can recognize Allah without acknowledging the Messenger. (Since the concept of believing in Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) includes accepting the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the essential requirement is that Allah and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) It should be obeyed in such a way that all the desires of the heart become subject to the Islamic Shariat. As the Prophet said:

Translation:

None of you can be a perfect believer until all the desires of his heart are submitted to the law that I have brought.

The guarantor of human greatness:

The study of Islamic history shows that when Muslims testified to monotheism and prophethood by their words and actions and arranged to follow Islamic Shari'a in all their individual and collective affairs, they reached the heights of human greatness. But when this testimony was deprived of sincere confirmation and practical obedience, then the honor and greatness of Muslims was reduced to dust.
