What is Faith?

 Faith:

Actions are based on faith, faith is a firm belief that sinks deep into the heart and leaves no room for doubt. Such belief settles in the soul and dominates the heart and mind. Then nothing can be thought against it and no action can be done against this belief. Rather, all actions are done because of this faith and on its instructions. That is why when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) received the order to spread the religion of Islam, he began by reforming the beliefs.

The basic beliefs of Islam are:

1: Belief in Allah.

2: Faith in the messengers

3: Belief in angels.

4: Faith in the heavenly books.

5: Faith in the Hereafter.

6: Belief in destiny.

7: Belief in life after death.

(1)Faith in Allah. (Tawheed):

Among the basic beliefs, the first belief is that of monotheism."There is no god but Allah". The literal meaning of Tawheed is one belief, oneness of knowledge. In the term of religion, it means to believe that the Creator of this world and its Lord are one, unique and consider Him alone as worthy of worship. From Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) to the last prophet of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him), all the prophets who came to the world invited people to monotheism and told them that this world and all its things belong to Allah. have created And by His order all this will end. He is One, there is none like Him, He alone must be worshiped and His orders must be obeyed.

(2) Faith in the messengers :

Man gets the true knowledge of God through His messengers. Therefore, in the chain of beliefs of Islam, Prophethood ranks after monotheism. The literal meaning of Rasool is one who is sent with a message. In the term of religion, a messenger is a person whom Allah Almighty has chosen to convey His message to mankind. Messenger is also called Prophet. Which means the informer. We also call Rasool a Prophet, that is, one who brings a message.

Even before receiving the Prophethood, the life of the Messenger is the best life in his nation.

In Quraan Majeed:

Surah Yunus verse 16:

Translation:

I have lived enough among you before.

(3) Belief in angels:

The word Malaika (angles) is plural. Its singular is "Malik" which literally means messenger.Since these angels bring and implement the commandments of Allah Ta'ala, they are called angels. Angels are light beings and they obey Allah Almighty in every situation. Believing in angels is one of the basic beliefs of religion.

(4) Heavenly books:

It has already been said that to be a Muslim, it is necessary to believe in all the Messengers. The meaning of believing in the messengers is to believe them as the true messengers of Allah and to accept their teachings as true. The books revealed to the Prophets are a collection of divine teachings. Therefore, in order to believe in the messengers, it is necessary to believe in the books revealed to them. Allah has said about the believers in the Quraan Majeed.

Surah Al-Baqarah verse 4:

 Translation:

And those who believe in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you.
